PROJECTS
Llanddewi Velfrey Cricket Ground
in 2019 we entered into an agreement with the Trustees of Llanddewi Velfrey Cricket Club to lease their ground for the use of our Junior and 3rds teams.
Over the coming years we have committed to improving the playing and pavilion facilities.
So far we have improved the access by installing a new road and undertaken works to the square and the outfield. We have modernised the showers and water heating in the pavilion. In 2022 with the help of Valero we were able to paint the pavilion in side and out.
We are continuing to improve the facilities on site for future generations.
Club House & Changing Rooms
We are currently undertaking a phased upgrade and improvements to our club house facilities. Having increased the size of our lounge area, we have undertaken works to implement energy savings measures and a programme of redecoration.
We are continuing to make improvements to our kitchen and bar back of house areas to improve our capabilities and offerings to members.
Grounds Improvement
In collaboration with the IOG (Institute of Groundmanship) and the PCGA (Pembrokeshire County Groundskeeper Association) we are working towards a 5 year plan to improve our main ground playing surfaces and practice facilities to meet the PQS Premier Standard.
In 2021 we embarked on stage 1 of sand banding the outfield, with a view to improving the overall drainage of the playing area. Working with IOG Wales and Cricket Wales we are working towards an improved playing surface.
Practice Facility Improvements
We are working towards replacing our existing 2 lane batting and bowling facility with a modern, two lane, all weather enclosed facility. We have been working on grant applications and fund raising for a number of years with a view to works being undertaken in 2025/2026.
